

Vintage Conditions: The 2007 vintage was one of the most challenging years the company had faced - an ongoing drought, water shortages and heat waves all took a toll. In order to produce a wine of the highest possible standard an exhaustive selection process was undertaken resulting in the largest declassification of barrels to date.
Colour: Inky black purple colour
Nose: Intense aromas of dark fruits, violet infusions and liquorice with some vanillin end notes. Palate: The palate shows a touch more elegance in comparison to previous vintages, but nonetheless possesses impressive weight and concentration. Flavours of blackberry, plum, liquorice allsorts, spice and black pepper fill every corner of the mouth displaying exceptional depth and persistence of flavour. Very fine grained, well integrated tannin structure followed by a very long blackberry, liquorice, black pepper and spice finish. An Outstanding Heathcote Shiraz.
